Roadway Lube Plus, LLC,  provides service that you can count on!

An oil change and filter replacement following your vehicle' manufacturers recommendations is one of many preventative maintenance services that help promote maximum vehicle performance while extending the life of your vehicle. Oil is responsible for lubricating the working components inside your vehicle’s engine while reducing the amount of friction between them. Because the engine generates a substantial amount of heat, oil acts as a cooling agent as it circulates through the engine. Oil also absorbs other harmful particles created during the combustion process and directs them to the oil filter, which filters out the debris and contaminants for clean, free-flowing oil. Together, the oil and oil filter keep your vehicle’s engine operating at optimal levels of performance. During an oil change, we will replace your engine’s old oil with new quality SERVICE PRO or ROYAL PURPLE brand oil and replace the oil filter with a new Quality Oil Filter that meets or exceeds OEM specifications. We will also lubricate the chassis components of the vehicle according to the standards of the manufacturer. At the end of every lube, oil and filter change, our staff will have ensured that your engine oil is clean and the working parts of your engine are properly lubricated.

Over time, as oil becomes saturated with contaminants, excess particles are left behind in the engine, where they can form deposits and cause significant wear to the engine. Over-saturated oil loses its lubrication, which will eventually lead to an overworking engine, excess heat, and engine failure. Excessive heat can also lead to thermal breakdown in your engine oil, causing a change in the oil’s viscosity, and resulting in decreased oil flow. Similarly, dirty oil flows more slowly, causing the engine to work harder, leading to increased engine wear. Our service staff will inspect the oil filter during each oil change, and replace the oil filter in order to keep your oil clean from contaminants. Routine lube and oil changes will keep your engine running stronger and running longer.

Duramax 2.8 Service Alert!

It has come to our attention that there is an issue obtaining the manufacturer required oil for this engine. According to the manufacturer this engine requires Dexos2 0w-20 engine oil. However, currently that specified oil appears to only be available from the manufacturer. Even dealers do not have it. General Motors has not licensed any oil manufacturer to produce the Dexox2 0w-20 oil as of the writing of this alert. To keep an eye on any licensed manufactures of the oil you can go here to find out.

If you have a vehicle that the oil cap on the engine specifies Dexos2 0w-20, please swing by the shop and let us take a picture of it, get you vehicle information (year, make and model) and send it in to our association so they can track this issue better. Or you can take the picture and email the picture and information to us

We will update this article if we receive any additional information.
